Special Screening of SENNA for WIF.D Members!

  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Angelika Film Center
The award-winning, adrenaline-pumping story of Ayrton Senna, arguably the greatest race car driver who ever lived, is one of this year’s most riveting documentaries. The young, talented Senna erupted into the world of Formula One racing in the mid-1980s -- A Brazilian with a maverick attitude in a predominately European sport, in a world fraught with politics and backroom deals.

Asif Kapadia’s emotionally-charged film follows Senna’s racing career and rise to global superstardom as a three time world champion, until a fatal car crash in the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix (described as the blackest time in Grand Prix history) claimed his life, leaving millions of fans mourning his untimely death.
